What does "permanent" really mean?
Your files are stored on the Arweave blockchain, funded by a one-time fee that covers storage for centuries. Once uploaded, files cannot be deleted — not by us, not by anyone.
What if the platform shuts down?
Your files live on the blockchain, not on our servers. Even if Long Drive disappears, your data remains accessible through any Arweave gateway (e.g. arweave.ar.io).
Is my private data safe?
Private files are encrypted with AES-256 in your browser before upload. The password never leaves your device. Without the password, nobody — including us — can read your files.
How is billing calculated?
Files under your free quota (10 MB) cost nothing. Beyond that, you top up credits and are billed by actual bytes stored, at the current blockchain rate.
