Keep your personal records forever

Photos of the kids, scanned passports, letters from your grandparents, diplomas. The things you cannot replace deserve more than a hard drive that can fail.

Letters & journals

Preserve writing that matters. Files under 100 KB are stored free forever, so even short texts cost nothing.

01A real scenario: losing years of family photos

A phone is lost or a laptop dies, and with it go thousands of photos. Cloud backups help — until the subscription lapses, the account is closed, or the provider changes its terms.

With Long Drive, you upload photos once and pay a single fee. They live on the Arweave network, retrievable by transaction ID from any gateway, with no account required to view shared links.

02How to start

Start small: scan your most important documents — passports, deeds, certificates — and upload them with encryption enabled. Each file under 100 KB is free forever.

Then move to irreplaceable photos: birthdays, weddings, parents who are no longer here. Batch upload keeps it simple, and you get a permanent link for each one.

03The practical case

A customer archived her father's handwritten letters — over 200 scans averaging 80 KB each. Total cost: zero, because every file fell under the 100 KB free tier. The letters now have permanent URLs her family can visit anytime.

That is the point of Long Drive: the things you cannot re-create should not depend on a monthly bill.

Personal use FAQ

Are my personal files private?

Enable browser-side encryption and only you (with your password) can read them. Without encryption, files are public on Arweave like any on-chain data — use encryption for anything sensitive.

What if I want to share photos with family?

Each file gets a permanent link you can share. Anyone with the link can view the file without creating an account.

Can I store videos?

Yes. Videos are larger, so they carry a one-time fee based on current Arweave rates — check the calculator for an estimate before uploading.
